Bendigo Shafter

Bendigo Shafter follows an eighteen-year-old pioneer who helps lead a group of settlers into the rugged Wyoming mountains. As they battle harsh winters, gold fever, and lawlessness, Bendigo matures into a leader, peacemaker, and builder of a new community. Rich in frontier detail and moral strength, this novel is one of L’Amour’s most thoughtful and expansive works.
