Hinduism a Primer

Hinduism is the world's oldest religion. It is based on Vedic knowledge. True exploration of this ancient religion should be done with Vedic vision - 'the inner vision'. My years of spiritual quest  through the Ramakrishna Math and Mission and Chinmaya Mission, finally landed me at the lotus feet of my spiritual preceptor (Guru), Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It is He who opened me to a renewed vision of spirituality in general and Hinduism in particular.

While there are many books on the subject I tried to share with the readers the deeper insights that I experienced through my personal spiritual quest. I tried to be candid in unfolding the truths about several topics discussed in the book.

Dr. Raghavendar S. Prasad, is a medical doctor, a geriatrician by specialty . He was born in Santanutala Padu Village in Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh State, India in 1945. He was seventh in a family of 11 children. His father was a renowned teacher of his times and was his first spiritual preceptor.

He migrated to USA in 1974. He lived in state of lowa, Maine Florida, California and now Dallas, Texas. He served six years as a medical officer in US Navy, 24 years in private practice of medicine and 8 years in academic medicine at University of Texas at Houston and University of Southern California om Los Angeles.
