Global Philosophy for Everyman 2 (Philosophy in China)

After outlining history of the various dynasties of China over the centuries briefly, the volume elaborates on the doctrines of the different schools of Chinese Philosophy and discusses the implications of these for the periods at the sociopolitical level. The currents and cross-currents that emerged with the entry of Buddhism are traced analytically before an assessment of the philosophical goals is attempted. An eminently condensed book on Chinese Philosophy within the span of a single short volume like this may not be easy to come by. It is sure to prove useful also for comparative studies of philosophy, especially Indian and Chinese.
