Journey to Ixtlan

Journey to Ixtlan: The Lessons of Don Juan (1972) by Carlos Castaneda is the third book in his series documenting his apprenticeship with the Yaqui shaman Don Juan Matus. Unlike his earlier works, which focused on hallucinogenic plants, this volume emphasizes philosophical teachings and practices for shifting perception and "stopping the world." The title refers to a metaphorical "home" or state of being, explained through allegories by Don Genaro, a companion of Don Juan.
