Light Thickens

Light Thickens by Ngaio Marsh (HarperCollins, 1982; later paperback editions) is the final novel in her long?running Inspector Roderick Alleyn series. Set in the theatrical world, the story revolves around a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Dolphin Theatre. Marsh, herself deeply connected to theatre, uses the play’s ominous atmosphere as backdrop for a murder investigation.
