Some Inner Fury (PocketBook)

The wind of freedom blows strong across our land. And I am one with that wind. For I am a Hindu girl, and this is India, my country…. And you, my beloved, are English…. The enemy.

Yet if I had to choose a new, knowing full well what was to come, I would not want otherwise.

For though there is pain and sorrow and hatred, there is also love. And it is sweet. Too sweet for me ever to want to choose differently.
