Trenches

This 176-page graphic novel follows estranged brothers Lloyd and David Allenby as they navigate the horrors of World War I’s Western Front. With minimalist, cartoony illustrations, Scott Mills explores themes of survival, brotherhood, and emotional resilience amid gas attacks, trench warfare, and the Battle of the Somme. A poignant, unconventional take on war storytelling that blends stark visuals with human vulnerability.
