Patel Memorial Lectures 1955-85

The special feature of these lectures is that while they are delivered to an invited audience they are also broadcast on the entire network of A.I.R.

The memorial lectures from 1955 to 1985 have been combined in chronological order and presented in a book form on the popular demand of the general readers and elite. However, in 1959 no lecture was delivered.

The lecture give a vivid account of the dynamics of Indian society and culture and underline the fact that India has embarked on a road that is in certain respects very much its own having a number of quite unique features.
