The Presidents Men (PocketBook)

The Presidents Men describes and analyses the new branch of government; those unelected, increasingly power, full men and women who work in the shadows of power the presidential aides whose number and responsibility have grown steadily since FDR’s administration. Examining the personalities and abilities of White House assistants from FDR through LBJ, Anderson provides great insight into the actual working of the unofficial – but vital – power structure of Washington politics.  He ask, and suggests answers, to some important questions: who are these men, where do they come from, what sorts of talent do they have?
