Mister God, This Is Anna (1974) by Fynn (pseudonym of Sydney Hopkins) tells the story of Anna, a precocious four-year-old runaway in London, and her deep friendship with nineteen-year-old Fynn. Through Anna’s remarkable insights into life, love, mathematics, science, and her relationship with “Mister God,” the book explores profound spiritual and philosophical themes. It has sequels (Anna’s Book in 1986 and Anna and the Black Knight in 1990) and was reissued in 2005 with a foreword by Rowan Williams, then Archbishop of Canterbury.
