This book is a work of analysis, not prophecy. Another Indo-Pakistan war cannot be ruled out, given the tortured relationship between the two antagonists, once a single nation, since 1947. How such a war might start and how it might be fought, it is impossible to predict. But is a war is fought in 1984, as assumed here, its conduct could well be on the times described.
