In traveler’s phrase books there is usually a pronunciation section which tries to teach English-Speaking tourists how to correctly pronounce the language of the country they are visiting.  This is based on the belief that n order to be understood, the speaker must have an accurate, authentic accent-that he must pronounce every last word letter perfectly.
