The present book is the outcome of the Basu mallik Lectures on Vedanta Philosophy delivered by Dr. R. D. Ranade in March 1929 under the auspices of the Calcutta University. The development and the systematization of the material of the four lectures by him and his later additions crystallized into a ten chapter scheme. This scheme is complete by itself and now forms the analytical table of contents of the present book.
