The author began his working life as a chemist but was soon bitten by the Journalism bug. He landed a reporter’s job with Free Press Journal and quickly realized that he had found his life’s calling. His subsequent adventures were to take him to Europe and UAS as foreign correspondent of press Trust of India and later the Times of India. He met and interviewed celebrities, heads of states, prime ministers and other leading personalities of the time. It was a period which saw the world pick itself up from the ruins of the Second World War; a time when earlier power equa new ones and the old imperial order was replaced.
