Leading intellectuals of India participated in a Science Orientation Programme conducted by the CSIR Management Development unit for the principals of Centrals Schools and deliberated on the development of Science and Technology in India with special reference to our legacies of the past two centuries in this field and their perspectives. Moreover, the contemporary developments of Science and Technology with some of their economic, social, cultural, administrative and ethical implications in the context of India and other developing countries were brought forth sharply by the discussion leaders attending the programme.
